Hyper Flag is San Jose’s newest part of the 49ers Flag Family! That means: NFL FLAG jerseys (the real Nike stuff), certified refs, and a curriculum backed by the 49ers foundation. Kids from Kindergarten through 8th grade (plus an all‑girls HS option) are welcome, whether they’ve never strapped on flags or have a drawer full of medals. We’ve built the program to be competitive and inclusive—so your seven‑year‑old newbie won’t get buried by the twelve‑year‑old with moves like CMC. 

 Consistent 2‑hour Sunday block No juggling multiple days—practice and games happen back‑to‑back, same window every week. Weekly MVP awards Coaches snap photos, the league blasts them out—great for fridge bragging rights (and grandparents’ group chats). Season‑ending Super Bowl A full playoff bracket ending in a trophy game—kids experience the drama without the travel‑ball price tag. Team‑chat app One place for schedule updates, snack sign‑ups, and “Coach, we’re stuck on 101” messages. 

 We’re finalizing turf permits with the the schools (e.g., San Jose High, Evergreen High, etc). 

All sites have:

• Modern turf or well‑drained grass
   
• Restrooms and water fountains (staff will point you in the right direction)
   
• Plenty of sideline space for folding chairs and stroller parking
   

We publish the exact field grid and parking map two weeks before the opener—no game‑day scavenger hunts.

• Base fee + $3 payment‑processor charge.
   
• Sibling discount: $25 off each additional kid.
   
• Coach discounts: Head Coach – $99 credit; Assistant – $50.
   
• Full balance due at checkout; scholarships can reimburse you later (details in Section 12). Payment plans become tough with winter’s shorter lead‑time—one and done keeps bookkeeping simple.

 Why coach? You control practice times (within the slot), pick plays that fit your kid’s strengths, and get a fee credit.

How to volunteer:

1. Log into the NFL FLAG portal → “Register as Volunteer.”
    
2. Choose Head or Assistant Coach.
    
3. Complete the background check (league pays).
    
4. Email coachaustin@hscgym.com to let us know you’re in; we’ll assign your team within two business days.
   We provide practice plans, rulebooks, and a hotline (really an email, but we’re fast) for any gameplay questions.

• Playoffs (Mar 8): Single‑day bracket—lose once, move to consolation; win out, hoist hardware. Every athlete plays at least two games.
   
• Hyper Bowl: Championship finals at the main stadium on Playoff Day. Expect livestream, medal ceremony, maybe a special 49ers guest if the schedule gods cooperate.
   
• Scholarships: Need help with fees? The NFL FLAG/RCX Fund covers up to $100 per child. Apply online with:
